The Corfu International Festival presents a different art installation by the non-profit organization Eyes of light - Arts in Health Hub.

With a core belief that art has power and an emphasis on artistic quality, Eyes of Light cultivates the conditions for greater empowerment, wellness and social connection for cancer patients through creative programs, participatory art and therapeutic photography.

Touch, is an art installation from the collective work of the 2019 therapeutic photography workshops. A different approach, another perspective, a positioning by people with different experiences that are expected to... touch each of us in a different way.

From 7 to 19 November at the Ionian Parliament.

Eyes of Light - Arts in Health Hub is a non-profit organization founded in 2019 to improve the quality of life of cancer patients through art.

Areas of Action:
-Therapeutic Photography Workshops.
-Collaborative projects
-Art contact programme
-Art exhibitions & activities
-Art programmes in healthcare spaces

The main area of action of Eyes of Light is Athens, but they are also active online throughout Greece. Their target audience is adults who have experienced cancer personally, or in their immediate family environment.

The use of therapeutic photography with adult people who have experienced cancer, through workshops of self-expression, empowerment and original participatory activities, is a recognized field of action of the organization. The organisation has been internationally recognised for this by the Phototherapy Centre in Canada and by Global Health & Pharma in the UK. Following good practices abroad (Arts in Health, Socially Engaged Art), and starting from an innovative research
project implemented with a grant from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Eyes of Light is gaining increasing recognition as a reference body for Art in Health in Greece. Its future plans include visual art workshops and contemporary art interventions specifically for care settings, and for all patients with serious and chronic illnesses.
