" Deep and unhealed wound, the hatred of love"

Euripide's Medea. A whole new approach of directors Aimilios Chilakis and Manolis Dounias at one of the most tragic works ever written, at the imposing Old Fortress. Medea kills her children not only to avenge Jason, but mainly to save them from the hands of her enemies, not to allow power to murder them. This is why Euripides despite her abhorrent act, in the end, instead of punishing her, praises her. With a strong cast, Euripides' media, as adapted and imagined by the two directors, follows the model of the ancient tragedy where three actors play all characters in the drama. The iconic work of ancient Greek literature is presented in a new transcription by Giorgos Mplanou and original live music by Dimitris Kamarotos.

"Her wildness has been untied and I know for a fact, that she won't recover until she has enough of blood."
