CACAO ROCKS

The Corfu International Festival in collaboration with the Municipal Art Gallery of Corfu present Cacao Rocks and George Megoulas, in an artistic conversation between painting and sculpture.

Cacao Rocks -also known as Iasonas Megoulas- one of the most pioneering street artists of Greece, started his activity at the age of 14, creating his first large mural for Greenpeace, in a public space in Corfu.

His unique style that combines modern Greek painting with street art has made his work known in many countries, with presentations in museums and galleries and collaborations with major international brands, while his works are in important private collections around the world.

It is the first time that he will present a complete series of his paintings and ceramic works on the island where he grew up, Corfu.

The curator of the exhibitions is the Art Historian, Katerina Koskina.

Grand opening: Tuesday 8 August at 20:00, at the Municipal Gallery of Corfu (Art Hall "Thanos Christou").
