CHILDREN'S CHOIR

The Children's Choir "St. Spyridon" under the direction of the conductor Christina Kalliaridou will give a recital on Sunday 26 November at 12:30 at the Catholic Cathedral of Saints James and Christopher, in the framework of the 2nd International Festival of Corfu.

The Children's - Youth Choir St. Spyridon was founded in September 2023, within the framework of the newly established Association of the same name and is under the direction of the conductor Christina Kalliaridou.

Christina Kalliaridou belongs to the Special Education Staff of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University and is responsible for the specialization "Direction of Children's, School and Youth Choir". She has directed for 13 years the Corfu Children's Choir, which she led to highest distinctions and Grand Prix in international choir competitions in Greece and abroad.

The Choir emphasizes the educational dimension of choral practice, for the promotion of basic and lifelong music education on the island of Corfu.
