COVERTURA CHOIR

The Corfu International Festival will host the Coverura Choir on Sunday 26 November at 20:00 at the Studio of the Municipal Theatre of Corfu.

The vocal ensemble COVERTURA was founded in October 2018 in Corfu by the artistic director and conductor Dora Kolitsi. The creation of such an ensemble arose as a need to approach a different and varied choral repertoire, drawing from tradition, musicals, pop, rock Greek and foreign music.

Taking as a starting point the uniqueness of each voice and each character, each piece of music is built accordingly, adapting it to the style and character of the ensemble. That's why what characterizes the choir is its special energy that it can transmit to the audience, leaving a smile.

As a new vocal ensemble it took part for the first time in the 9th Corfu Choir Festival and since then it has been actively involved in cultural events, making several appearances and collaborations with artists of the choir scene on and off the island.
