The Corfu International Festival in collaboration with the Municipal Art Gallery of Corfu present Cacao Rocks and George Megoulas, in an artistic conversation between painting and sculpture.
George Megoulas, one of the most important Greek sculptors of his generation, is considered a pioneer of constructivism and one of the last masters of classical sculpture.
He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris and studied with the great sculptors of our times. He has sculpted dozens of monuments in public spaces in Greece and his works have been exhibited in Europe and America. For his work he has been honoured with many awards, with the highest distinction of the "Knight of Letters & Arts" in 1995 by the French state.
The curator of the exhibitions is the Art Historian, Katerina Koskina.
Grand opening: Tuesday 8 August at 20:00, at the Garden of the People.
