The Corfu International Festival presents for the first time Katerine Duska and Leon of Athens for a unique musical evening, on Friday 21 July at the Old Fortress of Corfu (Versiada).

Katerine Duska and Leon of Athens have been distinguished in recent years for their talent in Greece and abroad. Their collaboration began in 2019 with the song Better Love, which led Katerine Duska to the Eurovision Song Contest. This was followed by the duet Anemos, their first song with Greek lyrics, which gained a solid position in the radio playlists, reaching the top 3 of Greek Spotify and this year's Babel, which was released through the Global Spin of the Grammys Academy and entered the top 10 of Greek iTunes.
Katerine and Leon, two talented singers-songwriters of contemporary pop, will meet for the first time on the stage of the Old Fortress at the Corfu International Festival, for an evening of songs we have come to love, from their personal discography, but also the music that has inspired them.

BIOs
Katerine Duska

Songwriter and singer Katerine Duska was first introduced to the Greek audience through her radio hit One In A Million and her cover of Arctic Monkeys' Do I Wanna Know, which has received millions of views on YouTube. After her first full length album Embodiment in which she signed lyrics and music, in 2022 she released her EP Call me Nyx with the same team behind the Lana Del Rey and Lewis Capaldi
productions and completed her first American tour in major festivals such as SXSW and Summerfest.
Katerine Duska is one of the most unique voices of the local English-speaking music scene. Her characteristic tone takes us back to the voices of past decades. Through her lyrics and sound she reveals her musical background, following pop and alt-pop paths, while her stage presence is, undoubtedly, enchanting. She has collaborated with many international artists such as LP, Albin Lee Meldau, Tom Baxter, Yasmine Hamdan, Oddisee, Kadebostany and has performed at major stages and festivals in
Greece, Europe and America.

Leon of Athens
Leon of Athens
introduced us to his special sound with his first solo album Futrue while his talent in the art of songwriting emerged from the very first moment. Two years later, with the album Global and having gone through a period of maturation and redefinition of his sound, Leon received excellent reviews from major international media such as the Guardian, the New York Times and the BBC, and toured several European cities. Other creations followed, including the album Xenos, produced by David Kosten (Bat for Lashes). He has a number of important collaborations to his credit, including with Giorgos Lanthimos, who directed the video clip for Baby Asteroid, has won two international singing competitions (John Lennon Awards and Unsigned only) and has participated in some of the biggest international festivals (Bonaroo, Primavera, South by Southwest, Firefly Music Festival, Okeechobee, Summerfest, Shaky Knees).
The colourfulness of his sound, his iconoclastic lyricism, the genuineness of his inspiration have made Leon one of the most important names that our country has exported musically in recent years.
