BIO
The ROSARTE Children's and Youth Choir, founded and directed by conductor Rozi Mastrosavva, consists of 200 children and young people aged 5 to 24. It includes pre-junior class (Despoina Matthaiopoulou), junior class (Maria Lampidoni), children's classes for children no.1 and no.2 (Rozi Mastrosavva, Olga Alexopoulou), teenage class (Rozi Mastrosavva) and youth class (Rozi Mastrosavva, Alexandros Komnas). Myrto Akrivou, Apostolia Anastasiou and Alexandros Komnas accompany on the piano.
The choir functions as a nursery of skilled and experienced choristers, with dozens of concerts annually to their credit and receives praising reviews from people of Intellect and Art.
It is the only Greek choir that has won four gold medals in Choir Olympics (GRAZ/Austria 2008 & RIGA/Latvia 2014, PRETORIA/South Africa 2018) and regularly collaborates, among others, in concerts with all the symphony orchestras and professional choirs of our country.
In December 2016, Rosarte and its conductor Rozi Mastrosavva were highly honoured to be awarded by the Academy of Athens for their contribution to the arts and culture. Rosarte has as Honorary President and Μentor the late Academic Maestro and Composer Theodoros Antoniou.
