PETROS STRAVORAVDIS - DIMITRIS MILIOTIS

The Corfu International Festival hosts at the Municipal Gallery of Corfu the art exhibition of two Corfiot artists, Petros Stravoravdis and Dimitris Miliotis, entitled: Personal Topographies.

An artistic meeting of the two artist friends, focusing on their work and their broader perspective, having as a reference point and inspiration the city of Corfu where they live and work. 

The exhibition is constituted as a "conversation" between the two artists with their works dealing with various known and unknown neighbourhoods of the city, unexpected perspectives as well as integral elements of everyday life such as processions, philharmonic orchestras and the soundscape they shape. At the same time, the exhibition approaches the more dreamy and abstract depictions of Corfu, as each of the two artists captured them, inspired by the attraction of the city both as an experience and as an imagination.

Newer and older works from the artists' archives, studies, drawings, acrylics, watercolours and prints, many of which are being presented for the first time to the Corfu public. Images, words and thoughts on which each artist's personal topography unfolds, leading to a visual conversation.
