A clown with a blue nose, a teapot with holes, a protagonist with half a line, a red tree, a weird elf and a writer full of imagination... come to the Corfu International Festival and invite you on Sunday 12 November at 11:00 at the Studio of the Municipal Theatre of Corfu!

A tender fairy tale for children of all ages, with the theme of tolerance for diversity and faith in our powers to make the most of even the greatest natural defect...

THE BLUE NOSE by Klairi Lionaki
for children and teenagers (from 4 to... 94 years old)

What can they have in common: a clown who, instead of a red nose -the trademark of clowns- has a blue nose, a teapot with holes that cannot make tea, a protagonist who can only utter one sentence, and a tree that is all red! What else but a very low level of self-esteem,one might conclude!

But all this curious group will meet -not by chance- a rather strange elf, with whose help they will begin an arduous and entertaining journey towards truth and self-knowledge... What can happen when they all learn that they are all figments of the same Author's imagination?

Journey into Fantasyland then, to help children reverse their fortunes and correct those who want our horizons narrow and insist on coloring our dreams with their own colors...

The play is about tolerance of diversity and belief in the strengths we have and can harness to our advantage, even from something we consider a flaw or natural imperfection. A tender tale with lots of music and dance that illuminates the personal journey we all have to take.
